IME Remit Card is a Prepaid Remittance Card which uses visa network for mobility of money received through remittance channel. It is a co-branded product between IME and Global IME Bank, called “IME Remit Card’, that provides banking services to inward remittances. The card is a prepaid product which combines features of both debit and remit. Through the use of this card, customers will have the option to load the remittance amount sent through IME Agent network abroad and within Nepal and can be used by the card holder for cash withdrawals from ATMs, transactions at points of sale and e-commerce transactions.
Following documents must be submitted for the purpose of processing IME Remit Card Application:
The process of enrollment for IME Remit Card is governed by the basic principal of holding a debit/credit card i.e. customers need to fill up the Application and KYC form available at designated IME Centers. Once dully filled forms are received by the agent teller, verification will be done, after which the details will be entered into IME system for card approval and activation. The forms are checked and approved by IME Head Office, after which customers will be provided with IME Remit Card and PIN code. After the card is activated, card holder can use remit card number for performing transactions.

Select the language you desire either Nepali or English. Other languages may be available in India.
Enter your pin number.

Select withdraw funds to take money out from the ATM
Select the desired amount(Enter the desired Rupees Amount. This must be in multiple of 500 in GIBL ATMs.)
Make sure to take your cash, IME remit card and a receipt
Note: If the card is not taken out on time, ATM machine will pull the card inside the machine.

You will receive an SMS on your registered mobile number when the amount is received on IME Remit Card.
Each time you use you IME Remit card to shop or withdraw money from an ATM, the amount is automatically deducted from your card balance.
When you are ready to pay for your purchases, give your card to cashier to swipe at the POS terminal. Check the amount printed on the receipt to see if it is correct. You will be asked to either sign the receipt or enter your PIN. The purchase amount will automatically be deducted from the card balance.
IME Remit Card is valid for 5 years from the issuance date.
Card Holders can check the balance by conducting a balance enquiry from ATMs and obtain a receipt showing the balance.
You can aim to have only one IME Remit Card on your identity card.
Yes, card holder can get mini-statement containing last 5 transactions in the account, which can be obtained from the ATM network of Global IME Bank Ltd.
You can obtain ATM PIN for IME Remit Card by requesting the IME Center.
If you lose IME Remit Card, you have to immediately inform the IME Center and block the card. Card can also be blocked by contacting IME HO at 01-4430600 directly.
IME Remit Card is issued free of cost, Rs.200 will be charged annually for subscription. If the card is lost or damaged and has to be replaced Rs. 200 will be charged. And for reissuance of PIN Rs. 100 will be charged. Transaction charges will be deducted as prescribed by IME / GIBL. Please refer to applicable fees and charges section for details.

Card Holders can withdraw funds from ATMs, subject to the daily limit fixed by the bank.
Card Holder can view their balance in the screen of ATM machine, and if necessary a receipt showing the balance can also be obtained.
A statement containing last 5 transactions in the account can be obtained by using mini-statement option available in the ATM. This facility is available only in the ATM network of Global IME Bank.
Customer can change their PIN only at the Global IME banks ATMs in Nepal.
Loss of IME Remit Card
The Card Holder should immediately notify nearest IME Center if the card is lost or stolen. The card will be blocked for further use once the card holder confirms the loss of card. Any financial loss arising out of loss of Card will be Card Holder’s responsibility. New Card will be issued for the replacement of lost/damaged card at a charge of Rs. 200/-. However, new card will only be issued after the card holder submits a written application to the nearest IME Center or the IME HO card department whichever is convenient at the earliest.

In case the card holder misplaces PIN provided, he/she should submit a written application to the nearest IME Center or IME HO for reissue of PIN.
Renewal of IME Remit Card
IME Remit Card is valid for a period of 5 years. Upon expiry of this period, a customer can request for the renewal of the card by submitting a written application/ filling out the necessary form at the prescribed IME Centers.
Disputes settlement will be made once a written application is received from the customer or fill out the prescribed dispute settlement form. A cardholder dispute occurs whenever there is discrepancy with a merchant / ATM about the charge that is debited to the card holder’s card account.
Some examples of common disputes are given below:
Time Frame for Dispute Settlement:
For SCT /NPN network related Transactions- Minimum One week from the date of processing.
For ATM related transactions- 45 days from the date of processing.
For POS transactions- 30 days for Signed Slip Copy request and another 45 day if it is still disputed by customer.
Note: Disputed transactions are not valid after 120 days.
